dormakaba increases sales and profitability - live webcast of dormakaba analysts presentation

In the first full year of joint operations, dorma+kaba increased its consolidated sales on a pro forma basis and currency-adjusted by 2.6% to CHF 2,302.6 million.

A smart step for smart access solutions

On 1 September 2015 the new dorma+kaba Group was created through the merger of two strong companies. The Group achieved its first successes in its new organization as a combined company during the first months of the 2015/2016 financial year, finishing the period under review with good results. On a pro forma basis and at constant exchange rates consolidated sales increased during the period by 2.6% to reach CHF 1,135.5 million (CHF 947.6 million reported). Organic sales growth was 1.8% while acquisition effects contributed 0.8% to sales growth.

Silca has always had a strong bond with the local community of Vittorio Veneto where the company is based, and has always invested significantly in projects dedicated to the youth.

Almost 10.000 athletes and amateurs participated in the 18 events organized by Silca Ultralite in 2015. This was a record year for Silca Ultralite Vittorio Veneto e Atletica Silca Conegliano, both in terms of events organized (athletics meetings, cross runs, duathlon and triathlon races) and in terms of agonistic results (national convocations, European competitions and medals won).

Silca S.p.A., worldwide renowned manufacturer of keys, key cutting machines and automotive solutions, has long operated in favour of sustainability. The company is Iso9001:2008 and IsoTS 16949:2009 certified, and has recently obtained the Iso 14001:04 certificate for the Environmental Management System.

dorma+kaba is holding its first Group CTO dialogue in Zurich today. As well as an update on current innovation activities, dorma+kaba’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Andreas Häberli is presenting a web-based access solution called “exivo”, which makes its debut appearance at the “Sicherheit” trade fair in Zurich.

One of the largest multinationals operating within the security industry is the Kaba group. Key Systems, segment of Kaba, is the first worlwide manufacturer of automotive solutions, vehicle key programming devices, keys for diverse uses and key cutting machines. The Silca factory based in Vittorio Veneto is one of the flagship sites of the group.

dorma+kaba Group has completed the sale of its AutoTime software and related activities to Kronos Incorporated, Chelmsford Mass. (USA), as all formalities of the transaction have been settled.

Kaba Group finished the 2014/2015 financial year with markedly good results. Consolidated sales topped the billion mark once again, rising 8.1% to CHF 1,085.2 million.

The merger of the two businesses of Dorma and Kaba to form dorma+kaba, announced at the end of April 2015, was completed on 1 September 2015.

Kaba Holding AG notes that today Dorma Group publishes its preliminary results for financial year 2014/2015 to 30 June 2015.

The responsible competition authorities have unconditionally approved the planned merger of Dorma and Kaba.
